West Bexington outing

Keith Mills won this match with 6lb of Whiting, Pout and a Plaice with the addition of one of his signature catches for this area a Dogfish of 2lb 1½oz allowing him to scrape past young Tom Boys, by a mere pound and a quarter to win the overall series. Tom was a bit unfortunate in this choice of venue as the bigger fish tend to be caught only at long distance.

Fourteen members fished one or both matches this year and as always this has proved to be an enjoyable social match series.

Warbarrow outing

Well done to Tom Boys who came first on the outing with a weight of 8lb 6oz

The A team wins the Neptune League

For the first time, we are told, since 1970 our A team in the Neptune league has won both sections by good margins. The overall points trophy by five and the overall weight by 5.5lbs. When you consider the standard of this league it represents no mean achievement. The club also won the six man team match the Dean Cup yet again. We have members fishing the prestigious ISAC league and other top class matches. Truly a club to be proud of.

A team was Keith Mills, Matt Finn, Paul Johnson , Andy Dawkins and Tony Amos

Also well done to the B team who had not been far behind.

B team was Jurgen Schedler, Keith Gillard, Brian Chapman, Ian Thomson, Alan Palmer
